Children Oral Care Tips

5 facts parents should know about baby’s first tooth
- Baby’s first tooth appears around 6 months old. Teething can start around 3 months of age. Typically, the lower front teeth come in first. By the age of 3 years, most children will have all of their 20 baby teeth.
- Brush your child’s teeth twice a day with fluoride.
- Remember not to put your baby to bed with a bottle - it can lead to tooth decay.
- Do not use teething tablets, gels with benzocaine, homeopathic teething gels or tablets, or amber teething necklaces.
- Make your first dental appointment when the first tooth appears.
